For my main dish I ordered the pork chop on a bed of spinach, mushrooms, potatoes and sweet potatoes with grilled pineapple on top. I had to stop myself from wolfing the bread down because I had my entrée coming. The snails were in a garlic butter sauce and the French bread was damn addictive dipping it in it. Let me tell you, I could have eaten that particular dish and gone home, it was that good. I knew I wanted escargot, I'd never had it before and I was curious about the dish. But I get it, I work in food service and I know how it can get when it gets busy, but the ladies behind the bar really stepped up. Unfortunately my seat at the bar had me in a corner where I was kind of missed for a little while. I had heard a lot of good things about it, so I drove from Pensacola to see for myself and it did not disappoint. It was a Wednesday night and I didn't expect it to be so busy but they had a large group (22 people) being seated besides everyone else, but we all got seated. I decided to treat myself to dinner at Tamara's Downtown to celebrate my 59th birthday. Tamara's Downtown 104 N Section St, Fairhope They are very friendly but they often seem worse for wear by the end of a work shift. There is also very little in the way of room acoustics tech (on ceiling etc) to cut down on noise and echo.As a result, Master Joe’s can be loud with such a narrow and long room packed full of diners. Prepare to get sleepy after 40 min from lack of oxygen if it’s crowded. We never normally have that issue. The restaurant is a relatively small space with very poor ventilation. We also have a slight ringing in our ears. She's been guzzling water for the past two hours, as well. It's not merely salted food.I am in perfect health with no health issues at all. What causes that? Massive amounts of MSG? Not sure. I have now sipped four 16 ounce glasses of water since I ate dinner two hours ago, and I STILL have a very strong thirst. Not so healthy. And every time I go to Master Joe's I can't stop drinking water after. I’ve tried a lot of the rolls and sashimi. The sushi fish is mainly farmed tho. Super tasty sauces and very nice presentation. Master Joe's LLC 21 N Section St, Fairhope
